Robenso participated in Open Coffee Athens, held on October 31 in Athens, presenting its journey and vision for automating waste management. The company’s co-founder, Nikitas Mavrakis, introduced Robenso and shared with the audience the technological innovations that are transforming the waste management industry.

He explained how the idea of combining artificial intelligence with robotics for the sorting of recyclable materials led, in 2021, to the founding of Robenso - a company that develops high-precision robotic arms for the automation of recycling processes.

During his presentation, Mr. Mavrakis highlighted the operation of Robenso’s Delta robotic arm, which achieves 99% sorting purity and more than 3,000 picks per hour. This system significantly enhances the efficiency of sorting lines.

Mr. Mavrakis also spoke about the vision of the sorting plants of the future, operating 24/7 with fully automated processes and minimal error rates.

Special reference was made to Robenso’s extensive library of recyclable materials, developed through data collected from thousands of hours of robot training. He also emphasized the early-stage funding support received from Helidoni Group, which enabled the establishment of new facilities aimed at further growth, speed, and productivity.

“Our goal is to bring technology closer to the real needs of recycling infrastructure. We want the factories of the future to be safer, cleaner, and more efficient - for the people who work in them and for the environment,” said Nikitas Mavrakis, co-founder of Robenso.

Robenso’s participation in Open Coffee Athens highlighted its strong commitment to innovation, the circular economy, and sustainable technological development, contributing to the creation of a future in which waste is transformed into valuable resources for industry and society.
